Is there an easy way to tell if a piece of rock crystal is real?
I see many shops selling glass jewelry, including pendants, bracelets, earrings, etc, etc, and that "claim" that are "real" crystals and therefore making the price go up voraciously. 1. Is there a guide of "idiot" way of knowing whether a piece of glass is real or just part of a glass or toughened resin manufatcured color? Thanks
There is a hardness scale from 1 (talc) to 10 (of diamonds). If something is supposed to equal or lesser hardness than the glass may break, not the type of glass that has been told it is. If the purchase of amber, takes a lighter and beat her. If the shrieks trader "and snatches !!!!," Ayeeeeee sample away from you, then the material was plastic. Amber REAL – that not object. The flame is not damaged.
